| 1970 Puma Long Track powered by that well known high performance axial flow racing engine, the twin 399 JLO !! ?? Using a Tilley HD and a rubber track. Sled built almost entirely from spare parts. New parts consist of a new fan belt and 2 new eccentric studs. Everything de-greased but not a drop of new paint used. It may not be pretty but should be quite dependable. Not much time was spent assembling this sled, but it was kind of fun instead of making a full blown restoration. Some kind of a rat type sled I guess and I look forward to breaking some trails this winter. August 17/2010 - Put 75-100 miles over the past winter and it never let me down.) June 2011 - Sled is now powered by a 440 JLO axial flow model 2F440-4, 20 over engine. |
